In my years as a photographer, I often get approached by people who say they want the photos and the end result but don’t want to deal with the ongoing stress of actually taking the pictures to get them. I’m here to tell you that the process of getting your extended family photos taken does NOT have to be stressful, AND it can be a pleasant experience! The Legband extended family session at OPPD Arboretum in Omaha, Nebraska, was such a fresh reminder as to why these photos are so important.
With two little, energetic boys and three fun loving girls, these grandkids sure know how to have a good time! Whether it was Dom’s mutual love for Mickey Mouse or the entire clan’s love of Tootsie Pops, we spent a beautiful evening capturing some special moments between the entire family.
The way these littles loved on their parents and grandma was very heartwarming to see. The giggles. The slobbery kisses. I am here for all of it! It was apparent they all share an unbreakable bond that I know has only gotten stronger after losing Grandpa to cancer a few years ago. A hard fought battle over many years, their grandpa (my uncle), was truly a remarkable, kind and humble man who led his family by example.
To the Matriarch of the Family
Linda, you have such a beautiful family that is growing FAST! I am beyond honored that you trusted me with the special gift of capturing the ones you love the most in the world. I know Uncle Dan is beaming down from heaven, proud of the family and life you have built together.
If I could describe you in two words, it would be “hella strong”. You would never be able to guess the amount of hardships life has thrown at you guys because you have been the rock your family has needed when times were tough. Add to that, your unwavering faith in God has truly been an inspiration to anyone who knows you.
Your extended family session at OPPD Arboretum in Omaha, Nebraska, will be one I never forget! I hope you enjoy all the photos coming your way and never forget the sound of the grandkids’ giggles!
