Take. The. Pictures.
I swear I can’t say it enough! I know some people balk at the idea that the process of a large family shoot “might” be stressful, but I promise you will never regret it! It ends up being smoother and more fun than people think with some help from my end 🙂 My Friday evening extended family session with the Keller family in Omaha, Nebraska, was so much fun, and I love how they now have this special time in their lives captured for years to come! So many faces, so many little personalities, now remembered forever ♥️
It was a beyond gorgeous evening.
Slightly overcast, with finally a small break in the full blown Nebraska heat for the first time that week. That kind of “sunny and 75” weather where everyone’s moods improve just a bit when you live in the midwest.
We played a few games, shared A LOT of laughs, and by the end of the session all of these guys were such pros! I think one of my favorite parts of larger sessions is how much of a difference it is from beginning to end! I’ll even go as far as to say that I think some of them were beginning to enjoy it 😉
Although it might take some coordination at first to find a date that fits with everyone’s schedule, I believe with all my heart that these memories are fleeting, and they will be gone before you know it! Being a parent now myself, I agree wholeheartedly with the phrase, “The days may be long, but the years are short.” I can’t begin to describe how different one day is from another, and I think if we recreate these photos in 10 years, it will be highly entertaining!
To the Grandparents
Dan and Joyce, you have a BEAUTIFUL family! I can’t believe how much it has grown in such a short time! God has blessed you in so many wonderful ways, and I can’t wait to catch up with all of you again soon! Your extended family session in Omaha, Nebraska, is one I will always cherish!
Thank you again for trusting me to capture your precious family!
