You know those moments? Those huge, life altering moments that you will never forget and in the drop of a hat you can go back to in your mind like it just happened? Usually those moments alter your life in some fashion and direct it onto a new path. The day you get married is definitely one of those moments. It’s the point in time when you are 100% selfless, in love and dedicate your entire being to your spouse for better or for worse. Allison and Craig’s vibrant DC Centre wedding was full of color, intimacy and ALL the little moments you could ask for.
THE WEDDING DAY
With nerves on wedding days also comes a lot of excitement! There are so many moments as a little girl that you dream about. Your first look with your dad, your mom helping you into your dream dress, and your groom watching you walk down the aisle are just a few off the top of my head.
What you never think about is if one of those moments won’t happen.
Allison’s mom passed away when she was younger, and although she wasn’t physically present, I loved how Allison and Craig still added special touches throughout the day so it was as if she was there all along.
I think one of my favorite moments was Allison’s first look with her dad, Bob. He had such the sweetest reaction when he saw his little girl, and even more so after Allison showed him what she put on her bouquet: an intricate photo of her mom, so she was with her for not just the moment of getting into her dress, but throughout the entire day. ♥️
TO THE BRIDE + GROOM
Allison and Craig, congratulations on your wedding and the start of your forever! Marriage is such a wonderful, beautiful and sometimes frustrating journey, but it’s completely worth it in every single way! I hope your honeymoon was everything you wanted it to be and more, and that your first few weeks as a married couple were full of bliss and surpassed all your expectations. I will never forget your vibrant DC Centre wedding, and I hope these photos bring you the most wonderful feelings that take you back in time for years to come!
